About the Cattleman's Legal Fund
Cattleman's Legal Fund is a producer partnership, made up of cattlemen across the United States, committed to insuring a free, open and competitive market at all levels of beef production and sales. A class action lawsuit against the parties, believed to be involved in unfair trade and market manipulation, has been filed on behalf of the cattle feeder and cattle producer. These parties are threatening the survival of the cattle industry. If damages can be proven, those damaged will have the opportunity to recover. A court of law will eventually decide the outcome of this suit and who will collect damages will also be decided. It is extremely important that the lawsuit be supported by everyone from the cattlemen to those dependent on the cattleman. Any size contribution will be accepted and appreciated.
In addition to possible monetary awards, a successful suit will bring badly needed reforms that will benefit all levels of meat production, processing and sales. Everyone from the producer to the consumer will benefit from the restoration of a free, open, and competitive market and a more equitable distribution of the consumer meat dollar.
